Kentucky Licensed Research Operations Manager

Job Summary

Overseeing daily research activities in a remote capacity, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Research Operations Manager will ensure compliance with regulations, manage relationships with research stakeholders, and oversee billing processes within the UofL Health system.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain effective communication with practice and service line managers to support clinical trial feasibility and operational efficiency
• Train and supervise research billing coordinators and finance analysts, managing charge audits and billing plans
• Monitor research receivables and payables, reporting findings to leadership while ensuring compliance with CMS billing rules and HIPAA regulations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
• Five years of experience in healthcare finance, budgeting, or revenue cycle operations
• Two years of supervisory experience, including training and oversight of billing processes
• Five or more years of experience in clinical research (preferred)
• Certification as a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) or Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC) (preferred)
