Job Summary
To ensure accurate coding and abstraction of clinical data, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Revenue Auditor will work remotely to code and abstract all clinic, emergency department, same-day surgery, and 23-hour observation records while applying extensive knowledge of CPT codes and coding initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately code and abstract clinical data in a timely manner
- Apply knowledge of National Correct Coding Initiative edits and correct charges in EPIC Billing
- Follow established policies and procedures for coding within the department
Required qualifications
- One year of hospital coding experience in a healthcare setting
- Certification as CCA, CCS, CIC-ICD, COC, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
