Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Coder to provide expertise in professional billing and coding within the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform highly technical professional billing and coding while ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines
• Maintain excellent working relationships with customers and provide cross-coverage as needed
• Manage continuing education credits to maintain required credentials

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education
• At least 3 years of paid, full-time medical coding experience
• Certification as Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Coder - Apprentice (CPC-A), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Associate (CCA)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and sit at a computer for extended periods
• Willingness to engage in job-related travel (less than 10% of time)
