Kentucky Licensed Staff Accountant
Job Summary
To support the finance team, the remote Kentucky Licensed Staff Accountant will manage accurate financial records, prepare financial statements, and analyze financial data to aid in strategic planning.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting financial transactions
- Analyze financial information to identify trends and assist in forecasting future financial performance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution
- 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting roles
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
- Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is a plus but not mandatory at this stage
