Key Responsibilities

• Convert complex clinical information into structured data to support quality improvement and research
• Comply with organizational policies and procedures related to trauma services
• Compile and report statistical information from a computerized database

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 3 years of coding experience required
• Completion of AIS, Trauma Registry, and ICD-10 courses within 1 year of hire
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and disease processes
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred
