Job Summary
To support the Kentucky market, the full-time salaried Kentucky Licensed Utilization Review Clinician will perform clinical reviews of mental health and substance abuse care, ensuring services are medically appropriate, while working remotely Monday through Friday.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluates treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness
- Conducts prior authorization reviews in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Engages with healthcare providers and leadership to enhance care quality and efficiency
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of related experience
- Master's degree for behavioral health clinicians required
- License to practice independently as a LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN required
- Clinical knowledge of mental health and substance abuse treatment plans preferred
- Experience working with providers and healthcare teams in behavioral health preferred
