Job Summary
Seeking a remote Kernel Developer (eBPF) on a contract basis, the successful candidate will develop and modify code in the Linux Networking Stack to enhance performance for high-speed NICs while utilizing their expertise in Linux kernel and network stack programming.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and modify code in the Linux Networking Stack and supporting interfaces
- Analyze and enhance performance for high-speed network interface controllers (NICs)
- Utilize tools and methodologies to analyze hardware and software elements on the platform
Required qualifications
- B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in Linux kernel development, particularly with the network stack and interfaces
- Proficiency in C programming and device driver development
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and emerging tunneling protocols such as VxLAN and NVGRE
- Familiarity with eBPF, user mode networking, and OpenVswitch/VxLAN/NSH development
