Kernel Developer (eBPF)

Job Summary

Seeking a remote Kernel Developer (eBPF) on a contract basis, the successful candidate will develop and modify code in the Linux Networking Stack to enhance performance for high-speed NICs while utilizing their expertise in Linux kernel and network stack programming.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify code in the Linux Networking Stack and supporting interfaces
• Analyze and enhance performance for high-speed network interface controllers (NICs)
• Utilize tools and methodologies to analyze hardware and software elements on the platform

Required qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in Linux kernel development, particularly with the network stack and interfaces
• Proficiency in C programming and device driver development
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and emerging tunneling protocols such as VxLAN and NVGRE
• Familiarity with eBPF, user mode networking, and OpenVswitch/VxLAN/NSH development
