K'iche Video Interpreter

Job Summary

To facilitate language communication for the Limited English Proficient community, the remote K'iche Video Interpreter will provide interpretation services in various settings, including medical, legal, and customer service, as an independent contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service during interpretation sessions
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct, maintaining confidentiality and professional standards
• Complete required training and participate in ongoing Quality Assurance monitoring

Required qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and K'iche
• Familiarity with industry standard best practices for interpretation
• Ability to provide a high level of client service
• Access to personal or public transport
• Industry-specific certifications or training preferred (e.g., CMI, CCHI)
