Kubernetes Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Kubernetes Engineer will leverage Kubernetes technology to deliver, install, upgrade, patch, and maintain resilient solutions for the US Space Force's Space Systems Command, while collaborating within an Agile framework.

Key responsibilities

• Secure and configure containerized services orchestrated with Kubernetes and its underlying environment
• Lead the lifecycle management of containerized services and establish monitoring and alerting dashboards for performance tuning
• Design, implement, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-prem environments

Required qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, STEM, or IT, with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience
• US Citizenship and possession of a current Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience as a Kubernetes Engineer, including two years of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience
• Possession of one of the following certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)
