Lab Informatics Analyst

Job Summary

Engaging with lab scientists and IT teams, the remote Lab Informatics Business Analyst will analyze and document lab workflows, identify data entities, and translate business needs into data model inputs while supporting scientific data initiatives on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to elicit detailed requirements for lab workflows and data needs
• Analyze and document end-to-end lab processes, including sample lifecycle and results generation
• Perform deep-dive analysis of LIMS, SDMS, and ELN systems to understand data structures and quality issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or Information Systems/Data Analytics with lab experience
• 5-10 years of experience in business analysis within lab informatics or scientific data environments
• Hands-on experience with LIMS, SDMS, and ELN systems
• Strong understanding of lab workflows and scientific data lifecycle
• Proficiency in requirements elicitation and process modeling
