Lab Operations Manager

Job Summary

Leading a remote team, the full-time Lab Operations Manager will oversee daily operations, manage a distributed team, and ensure quality standards are met as order volume increases in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop a distributed Lab Operations team while planning staffing based on demand trends
• Own day-to-day operations including lab result review, order investigations, and proactive issue resolution
• Improve SOPs and workflows to enhance operational consistency and scalability while interfacing with vendors and cross-functional teams

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in hiring and managing operations teams through growth
• Proven operational judgment in solving exception-heavy problems beyond scripted processes
• Experience in building or significantly improving SOPs, SLAs, and operational processes
• Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones
• Background in healthcare operations, diagnostics, or logistics where accuracy is critical
