Job Summary

To support experimental plans, the full-time hourly Lab Technician will operate high-temperature furnaces, prepare samples, and execute test runs while ensuring adherence to safety procedures in Corning, NY.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-temperature furnaces for thermal treatments
• Prepare samples and fixtures according to established procedures
• Document work and support data traceability in lab tracking systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in materials science, chemistry, geology, ceramics, or a related technical field
• Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment with process equipment
• Familiarity with high-temperature furnaces, heat treatment, ceramics, or glass processing preferred
