Job Summary
Serving as the subject matter expert for labor relations, the full-time Labor Relations Director will manage strategy, collective bargaining negotiations, and union relationships while working remotely to support the company's US business units.
Key responsibilities
- Provide counsel to management teams on labor relations and oversee collective bargaining negotiations
- Conduct economic impact analyses of bargaining proposals and formulate negotiation strategies
- Manage relationships with local and national labor unions and respond to inquiries from senior leadership regarding labor strategies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university, with a minimum of 10 years of related experience; Master's degree preferred
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation preferred
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret business documents and manage departmental budgets
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; knowledge of PeopleSoft is a plus
- Ability to work independently and make effective presentations on labor relations topics
