Land Acquisition Manager

Job Summary

To support land acquisition efforts, the full-time remote Land Acquisition Manager will identify new land opportunities, conduct research and analysis, and manage land data to optimize existing and proposed land assets, while residing in the Greater Charlotte area.

Key responsibilities

• Contact landowners and brokers to gather information on potential acquisition sites and maintain a tracking log of viable tracts
• Conduct due diligence on zoning, utility availability, and financial analysis to assess land acquisition viability
• Prepare detailed land packages and reports for submission to the Asset Management Committee and assist in financial proformas

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related fields; Master's degree is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Homebuilding/Residential construction, Single or Multi-Family Land Acquisitions
• Experience in land acquisitions, planning, and development with knowledge of the local land market
• Understanding of Fair Housing Laws and ability to interpret financial reports or legal documents
• Capacity to plan, organize, manage, and supervise activities of direct reports
