Land Valuation Consultant

Job Summary

To support the implementation of land consolidation projects, the Land Valuation Specialist will work on a home-based, non-staff consultancy basis for 3 months, focusing on preparing a manual for land valuation in pilot areas and providing training to national counterparts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of a manual for land valuation in land consolidation pilot areas
• Integrate soil survey data into the land valuation process and prepare the scope of work for soil surveys
• Provide training and guidance to national counterparts and project team on conducting land valuation

Required qualifications

• Advanced university degree in agriculture, land management, property valuation, or a related field; bachelor's degree with two additional years of experience is acceptable
• At least 5 years of practical experience in valuing agricultural land within land consolidation projects
• Working knowledge of English
• Strong practical experience with land consolidation re-allotment planning
• Experience working with rural communities and farmers is desirable
