Language Testing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the development of large-scale English language proficiency assessments, the full-time Language Testing Specialist will create, review, and revise test items for WIDA ACCESS and WIDA Screener while working remotely or in a hybrid capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop test items aligned to specifications while incorporating feedback from stakeholders
• Evaluate and revise test materials, providing constructive feedback to team members and external consultants
• Conduct qualitative analyses of student responses and maintain quality control checks of test items

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least two years of experience, or a Master's degree in a relevant field
• Experience working with K-12 English learners in U.S. school contexts, particularly in grades K-5
• Experience developing multiple choice and constructed response test items for K-12 students
• Proficiency in a language other than English
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office
