Job Summary
Supporting the U.S. Department of Justice's complex litigation mission, the full-time remote Law Clerk II will perform legal research, prepare draft legal documents, review documents for relevance and privilege, and assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct complex legal research and prepare various legal documents, including motions and briefs
- Review documents for relevance and privilege while assisting attorneys with litigation tasks
- Act as a primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other client staff on larger projects
Required qualifications:
- Must possess a law degree or have an approved waiver based on comparable education and experience
- At least two to three years of progressively responsible experience in litigation support projects
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance prior to start
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources
- Hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources
