Job Summary

To support AI training initiatives, the full-time temporary Law Knowledge Expert will provide domain expertise in various legal fields, guide research teams, and ensure quality standards for training data while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Guide research teams to improve AI model performance and close knowledge gaps in legal practice
• Create and maintain high-quality annotation guidelines tailored to specific legal sub-domains
• Evaluate and grade the quality of vendor-produced annotations, providing actionable feedback for improvement

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching law at a post-secondary institution, working at a law firm, or acting as in-house counsel
• Experience mentoring advanced legal concepts, demonstrating the ability to simplify complex problems
• Extensive subject matter expertise in recognized areas of US or international legal practice
• Strong analytical abilities to identify trends and evaluate annotation quality
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to new technologies
