Lead AI Architect

Job Summary

To design and build an AI agent system for managing complex transaction workflows, the contract Lead AI Architect will work remotely, owning the technical track, including agent orchestration, tool-use architecture, and human-in-the-loop protocols while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the orchestrator agent design and define stage handoff protocols for workflow management
• Design the tool-use architecture to integrate with live systems and ensure seamless production transitions
• Define human-in-the-loop protocols and mandatory approval gates to maintain compliance and auditability

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, AI/ML, or solutions architecture with a proven track record in production-grade systems
• Deep expertise in agent orchestration and state management, ideally in production environments
• Proficient in Python (or equivalent) and experienced in API design and modern data stores like PostgreSQL
• Experience with designing governance frameworks for high-stakes, document-heavy domains
• Practical experience in transitioning systems from sandbox to production, focusing on performance and monitoring
