Lead AI Engineer

Job Summary

To own the design, development, and delivery of production AI systems, the full-time Lead AI Engineer will work remotely, leading the architecture of AI orchestration layers and ensuring the reliability and scalability of AI services in insurance workflow automation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of production AI systems for insurance workflow automation
• Drive engineering decisions regarding latency, reliability, cost, and scalability of AI services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship end-to-end AI features and mentor engineers

Required qualifications

• Strong backend or AI engineering experience in production environments
• Experience building or scaling AI systems, including LLMs and automation workflows
• Proficient in system design with a focus on distributed systems
• Strong debugging ability in high-scale, latency-sensitive environments
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident response
