Lead AI Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design and implementation of AI solutions, the full-time salaried Lead AI Engineer will establish architectural standards, manage end-to-end solution delivery, and ensure production reliability, with the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Establish architectural patterns, evaluation practices, and deployment standards for AI solutions
- Collaborate with business units to optimize operational processes and manage the technical planning and product lifecycle
- Build and maintain monitoring systems to ensure the reliability of production AI agents over time
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, particularly in backend services and API design
- Recent hands-on experience with architecting and delivering AI or LLM-backed systems in production
- Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud platforms
- Experience mentoring engineers and setting technical direction across multiple initiatives
