Lead AI Engineer
Job Summary
To shape the AI strategy and architecture for a customer-facing digital insurance platform, the remote Lead AI Engineer will define the AI engineering roadmap, lead decision-making for AI systems, and ensure integration with existing infrastructure while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the AI engineering roadmap and architecture standards across the organization
- Architect AI solutions for the enterprise platform, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align AI capabilities with business outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on production AI/ML or LLM/GenAI systems
- 2+ years of experience building production LLM/GenAI and agentic systems
- Demonstrated experience redesigning business processes with AI integration in an enterprise environment
- Proficiency in Python and the modern GenAI application stack
