Lead AI Engineer, Speech Recognition

Job Summary

Leading the development of advanced automatic speech recognition technologies, the full-time Lead AI Engineer, Speech Recognition will design and customize high-performance ASR systems for real-world restaurant environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to define new voice features and product roadmaps.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and customization of production-grade ASR systems optimized for restaurant settings
• Rapidly evaluate and integrate emerging speech recognition technologies into existing voice products
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of ASR innovation from research exploration to deployment and continuous improvement

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of experience building and deploying automatic speech recognition systems
• 5-8+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or software engineering with applied AI
• Deep expertise with modern ASR architectures, machine learning, and deep learning techniques
• Strong programming skills in Python, C, and/or C++
