Lead AI FinOps Governance

Job Summary

Owning the financial discipline of AI expenditures, the full-time Lead AI FinOps Governance will manage budgets, allocate costs, and partner with Engineering, Finance, and Analytics to ensure AI spending aligns with measurable value in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end visibility and control of all AI spending across various platforms and tools
• Set and enforce budgets at the platform source, including monitoring usage and anomaly detection
• Build cost-allocation pipelines and implement reporting mechanisms to track spending against value

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in FinOps, cloud or SaaS cost management, or technical finance with direct ownership of variable, usage-based spend
• Hands-on experience in cloud and SaaS cost management platforms
• Strong knowledge of LLM pricing mechanics and financial modeling for variable-usage systems
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, BI tools, and advanced spreadsheet skills
