Job Summary
As a full-time remote Lead AI Harness Engineer, the successful candidate will design, develop, and support components of the harness that guides AI coding agents, focusing on creating systems that enhance the quality and maintainability of AI-generated outputs.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement components that provide guidance and feedback to AI coding agents, ensuring production-grade engineering
- Develop feedback sensors and verification loops to catch issues before human review, improving overall output quality
- Evaluate and enhance the stability, compatibility, and performance of harness components while mentoring junior team members
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience in software architecture and development
- Strong background in software engineering with experience in large codebases, architecture, and testing
- Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and familiarity with agent instruction conventions
- Experience in spec-driven development and context engineering, with a systems mindset focused on environmental solutions
- Ability to communicate design concepts clearly with architects and collaborate on strategy with teams
