Job Summary
To support a growing AI initiative, the full-time Lead AI/ML Data Scientist will serve as a technical authority for AI capabilities within a remote environment, focusing on building production AI solutions, defining evaluation standards, and shaping the AI product roadmap based on real-world performance and customer needs.
Key responsibilities
- Own modeling approaches for core classification and prediction use cases, continuously improving models based on production performance
- Design and build AI/ML capabilities from problem definition through production release, ensuring solutions meet customer and product needs
- Establish rigorous evaluation methodologies for AI systems, monitoring production performance to guide model improvement
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Data Science or Applied Machine Learning, with a focus on real-world datasets
- Demonstrated experience shipping AI/ML capabilities into commercial products used by real customers
- Expertise in generative AI and LLMs, including experience with evaluation methodologies for non-deterministic systems
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
- Strong technical skills in Python and SQL, with experience in cloud data warehouse environments
