Lead AI/ML Engineer
Job Summary
Leading a cross-functional development team, the full-time Lead AI/ML Engineer will manage engineers, oversee engineering standards, and ensure smooth delivery of AI/ML systems in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage engineers across the central platform team and delivery pods, including contractors and internal engineers
- Own engineering standards, including code quality, review practices, and production readiness
- Unblock delivery daily to maintain consistent progress without acting as a gatekeeper
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years managing engineers in AI/ML or LLM systems in production
- Experience managing blended teams of contractors and employees while maintaining quality standards
- Hands-on capability to review agent architectures, prompts, and evaluation suites
- Comfortable operating in a flat, fast-paced structure as a player-coach
- Experience in healthcare or regulated-industry delivery is a plus
