Lead AI/ML Engineer

Job Summary

To support innovative healthcare solutions, the full-time Lead AI/ML Engineer will define and lead AI architecture initiatives, design frameworks for advanced AI systems, and provide thought leadership while working remotely from anywhere within the U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead AI architecture for ECS Big Bets and AI 10.0 initiatives, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance
• Design frameworks for LLMs, agentic workflows, and RAG-based solutions while staying hands-on with critical coding tasks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in AI/ML solution architecture
• 6+ years of experience architecting enterprise-scale AI systems, including LLMs and multi-agent systems
• 6+ years of hands-on coding experience in Python, with familiarity in React, Next.js, and PostgreSQL
• 6+ years of experience defining architectures for regulated environments
• Proven knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
