Job Summary
To set the technical direction for Future's Android products, the full-time Lead Android Engineer will manage the development of phone and Wear OS apps, focusing on member experiences, app architecture, and performance optimization while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of Android experiences that connect members with their coaches and enhance user engagement
- Set architectural direction for a multi-module Kotlin codebase, improving app performance and data management
- Guide the integration of connected health systems and ensure data protection and reliability for member interactions
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional Android engineering experience with ownership of complex consumer applications
- Strong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, coroutines, and Android lifecycle management
- Experience leading architecture work in large or modular Android codebases
- Proven track record of shipping and supporting applications through Google Play
- Familiarity with performance optimization, offline state management, and background execution in Android apps
