Lead Android Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the Android architecture within a dedicated mobile pod, the full-time Lead Android Engineer will design and build native Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose while ensuring code quality and security in a regulated financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement native Android features and manage architecture decisions within the pod
• Integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs and establish CI/CD and automated testing standards
• Mentor mid-level engineers and leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance delivery efficiency

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of mobile development experience, including 4+ years in native Android using Kotlin
• Proficiency in Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture (MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture)
• Strong skills in coroutines/Flow and experience with Jetpack libraries (Navigation, Room, etc.)
• Experience with API integration and secure data handling on devices
• Familiarity with JUnit/Espresso testing and CI/CD tools like Gradle and GitHub Actions
