Lead API Developer
Job Summary
To support the modernization of payment systems, the long-term contract Lead API Developer will design, develop, and migrate APIs and microservices to AWS, working remotely during EST hours.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support secure, scalable APIs and microservices for Payments and Money Movement platforms
- Participate in migrating APIs and integration services from on-premises to AWS cloud-native architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Required qualifications
- Experience in the payments domain, specifically with ACH and Real Time Payments
- Proven AWS cloud migration experience and knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, and DynamoDB
- Strong background in API development, particularly with Java and Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with event-driven solutions using technologies like Apache Kafka and Amazon SQS
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform
