Lead Application Architect

Job Summary

Providing senior-level technical leadership, the full-time Lead Application Architect will oversee architecture and application modernization initiatives for the Decennial Transformation and Application Modernization (DTAM) program, working in a hybrid environment with on-site visits as required.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage architecture and application modernization activities, ensuring alignment with DTAM program objectives
• Guide full lifecycle development processes, including design, integration, testing, and deployment of systems
• Interface with client stakeholders and senior government leadership to present technical strategies and support negotiations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 15+ years of experience in IT, software engineering, or systems architecture
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale technical programs or enterprise modernization efforts
• Experience managing technical teams and interfacing with clients at the executive level
• Proven ability to make enterprise-level architectural and technical decisions
