Lead Application Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a Lead Application Engineer for a full-time contract-to-hire position in Columbus, OH, who will manage technical support, engineering, and lifecycle direction for a business application portfolio, focusing on production support and system integration.
Key responsibilities:
- Own technical architecture and engineering direction for the application portfolio
- Lead complex production incident diagnosis, recovery, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action planning
- Establish and maintain technical standards for development, testing, deployment, monitoring, security, documentation, and support
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of relevant software development, application engineering, or production-support experience
- Advanced relational-database and SQL experience, particularly with SQL Server/T-SQL and Oracle/SQL
- Experience leading high-severity incident response and root-cause analysis
- Experience producing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and support runbooks
