Lead Application Packaging Engineer

Job Summary

To take ownership of the enterprise application packaging and delivery ecosystem, the contract-to-hire Lead Application Packaging Engineer will manage the creation, testing, and deployment of application packages while providing technical leadership and mentorship in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation, testing, maintenance, and quality review of application packages using MSI, Win32, MSIX, and script-based deployment methods
• Coordinate enterprise application deployments, release schedules, and validation activities using Intune and approved endpoint management platforms
• Own application lifecycle management, including inventory, version control, patching, updates, and retirement planning

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in application packaging, endpoint engineering, or systems engineering environments
• Expert-level experience with Microsoft Intune and strong experience in packaging and deploying applications in enterprise environments
• Hands-on expertise with MSI, Win32, MSIX, silent installs, and PowerShell scripting
• Experience with Patch My PC or comparable third-party patching solutions
• Preferred experience with Autopilot, Entra ID, Microsoft Graph API, or Cloud VDI environments
