Lead Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance application and platform security through AI-driven practices, the remote Lead Application Security Engineer will manage threat modeling, security validation, and automated security capabilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize AI-assisted tools for threat modeling and security reviews to identify and mitigate risks in applications and platforms
• Embed automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines and provide real-time feedback to developers
• Monitor evolving security threats and design proactive defense mechanisms across applications and APIs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in Application Security, DevSecOps, or Security Engineering
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, secure design principles, and application threat modeling
• Familiarity with AI/ML security concepts and experience with modern application frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments, as well as security testing and automation tools
