Lead Application Security Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time salaried Lead Application Security Engineer will ensure secure application design and implementation by collaborating with development and infrastructure teams, integrating security best practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and driving the improvement of security policies and standards.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the security of applications and services, conducting design and code reviews
- Evaluate the security posture of AI/ML systems and drive the resolution of vulnerabilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert while performing security assessments of web and mobile applications
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or 4+ years of comparable work experience
- 5-7+ years of experience in Information Technology related to application security
- Extensive experience in web application security and knowledge of the SDLC
- Experience with agile delivery practices and integrating security into DevOps
- Familiarity with static and dynamic application security testing tools
