Lead Application Security Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance security capabilities, the full-time Lead Application Security Engineer will manage the technical direction and implementation of security practices, focusing on API security while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the adoption of security strategies and best practices within the R&D organization
- Own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of application security capabilities, including SAST, SCA, and DAST
- Lead the API security testing program and manage operational readiness, findings routing, and issue resolution
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a security-focused development role within an agile environment
- Strong software engineering background with proficiency in code development and troubleshooting
- Practical experience with Docker, Terraform, and cloud platforms
- Knowledge of security protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and RESTful services
