Lead Applied Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Applied Scientist to lead the research, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning and AI systems in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research, design, and deployment of machine learning and AI systems in production environments
• Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies to identify opportunities for new products and capabilities
• Partner with stakeholders to translate AI capabilities into scalable solutions that improve healthcare operations

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on industry experience with Machine Learning, Predictive Modeling, or Generative/Agentic AI
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Generative AI and agent development
• Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience in building evaluation pipelines for AI performance metrics
