Job Summary

Experienced in search and information retrieval, the full-time remote Lead Applied Scientist will design, develop, and deploy large-scale search systems for legal and enterprise content, collaborating with multiple product teams to ensure reliable and impactful solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy search architectures for large-scale legal and tax content collections
• Build and optimize ingestion pipelines for document retrieval and analysis
• Develop and enhance ranking systems using traditional and modern techniques

Required qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Information Retrieval, AI, Machine Learning, NLP, or a related field
• 8+ years of industry experience in building production search and retrieval systems
• Publications in recognized conferences such as SIGIR, ACL, or NeurIPS
• Strong production experience with Python, PyTorch, and distributed model development
• Hands-on expertise in indexing, retrieval, and ranking systems
