Lead AWS SageMaker Engineer

Job Summary

To support a large data and ML migration onto AWS SageMaker Pipelines, the full-time Lead AWS SageMaker Engineer will manage debugging and deployment of SageMaker pipelines, utilizing Terraform and GitHub Actions across multiple AWS accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists to diagnose and resolve issues in SageMaker pipelines, ensuring successful production deployment
• Quickly analyze failures using AWS logs and telemetry to identify root causes and implement solutions
• Address permissions challenges related to pipeline execution roles and cross-account access, while enhancing team understanding of the platform

Required qualifications

• Expert-level AWS operational experience, particularly in debugging using logs and telemetry
• Deep knowledge of IAM and permissions in a multi-account AWS setup
• Hands-on experience with SageMaker, including familiarity with SageMaker Studio and Pipelines
• Experience with multi-account AWS environments aligned to an SDLC
• Ability to work collaboratively and under pressure, engaging in live debugging sessions
