Lead Azure Engineer
Job Summary
To modernize and stabilize an enterprise Azure platform, the remote Lead Azure Engineer will serve as a senior technical leader focused on designing and improving Azure environments, managing networking and connectivity, and establishing governance across subscriptions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and overhaul of an enterprise Azure environment for improved standardization, scalability, and reliability
- Own Azure networking and connectivity, including VNets, subnets, routing, VPNs, DNS, and firewalls
- Establish and refine Azure governance, including policies and security controls across subscriptions and workloads
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering experience in enterprise-scale environments
- Deep expertise in Azure networking and hybrid connectivity
- Experience designing and overhauling Azure environments, including governance and Azure Policies
- Familiarity with hybrid Azure/on-prem infrastructure, including Windows Server and Active Directory
- Proven ability to lead technically while troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues
