Lead Back-End Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Back-End Engineer to define technical standards and ship production-grade software.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for the Backend practice
• Design, write, review, and ship production code while defining engineering standards
• Audit existing systems to reduce tech debt and ensure code quality across the stack

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience shipping and supporting production applications for large-scale user bases
• Strong backend engineering experience with proficiency in Go (Golang) and building production-grade systems
• Deep familiarity with AWS services and cloud architecture
• Experience with GraphQL APIs in high-scale applications
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
