Lead Backend Architect

Job Summary

To support a mission-driven team, the full-time Lead Backend Architect will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python and Django while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, ensuring high performance and reliability
• Develop and optimize data storage solutions with PostgreSQL and Redis, and implement Elasticsearch for analytics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions and document technical designs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience developing and maintaining backend systems in production environments
• Strong programming expertise in Python and Django
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization
• Experience with Redis for caching and message queues
