Lead Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Back End Engineer to work on a pivotal Federal program.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop robust, secure, and scalable backend services for a critical digital platform
• Lead backend design decisions, mentor engineers, and perform code reviews
• Ensure integration with key VA systems and champion best practices in API design and system reliability

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend development experience with expertise in Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, or .NET Core
• Proven ability to architect and build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis, and event-driven architectures
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Bachelor's Degree required
