Lead Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Backend Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape long-term goals, strategy, and technical roadmap for the backend department
• Maintain uptime, reliability, and performance targets through monitoring and structured maintenance
• Lead backend engineers through coaching, performance management, and hiring

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years building and supporting online services; 2+ years in a game studio preferred
• Hands-on experience with cloud providers, preferably Azure
• Strong command of C# or similar back-end language
• Experience shipping or supporting a live service with a regular release cadence
• Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and anticipate problems
