Job Summary
Lead Benefit Navigator acts as a pivotal resource in guiding patients through healthcare costs and financial assistance programs, providing specialized support for applications and inquiries, in a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
- Educates patients on healthcare costs, insurance coverage, and financial assistance options
- Assists in completing and tracking financial assistance applications, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Maintains financial records and serves as a primary resource for patient inquiries regarding financial processes
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent is required
- Associate's/Technical Degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or accounting is preferred
- Three years of experience in medical office, financial services, medical billing, or healthcare financial assistance is required
- Knowledge of Medicaid and financial assistance programs is essential
- Experience in customer service and training is preferred
