Lead Bioinformatics AI Scientist

Job Summary

Driving innovation in clinical genomics, the full-time remote Lead Bioinformatics AI Scientist will lead the design and implementation of advanced AI methods and algorithms to enhance genomic data analysis and clinical testing capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the visionary leader in Bioinformatics AI application development for clinical genetic testing, providing technical guidance and support
• Identify, prototype, and develop state-of-the-art AI applications to revolutionize clinical testing and genomic analysis workflows
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and customize GenAI models for next-generation clinical genetic testing platforms

Required qualifications

• Master's or higher degree (PhD preferred) in Bioinformatics, Machine Learning and AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
• 8+ years of professional experience in bioinformatics, AI application development, and genomic data analysis, including 3-5 years in a leadership role
• Hands-on experience in GenAI application development and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data services
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash and Python, along with experience in databases including SQL and no-SQL
