Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead CDI Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately code diagnoses based on documented information, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure proper coding
• Conduct audits of medical records to identify trends and improve documentation practices

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
• 3+ years recent outpatient medical coding experience
• Possession of coding credentials such as CPC, CRC, CCS, or CPMA
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, Category II, and CPT coding
• Familiarity with healthcare laws and regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
