Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Computational Climate Scientist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, develop, and implement computational catastrophic risk models focused on climate change and natural disasters
  • Drive geospatial modeling efforts and coordinate with product and engineering on geospatial workflows
  • Collaborate across teams to translate theoretical research into practical models for global supply chain risk
Required Qualifications
  • PhD in atmospheric and oceanic science, physics, social or behavioral science, or related quantitative field; or 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams and managing multiple projects
  • Strong interest in applying scientific modeling to complex systems, particularly climate change
  • Familiarity with Python, Jira, Git, and related analytical tools
  • Proven open-source research skills and experience supporting product development pipelines
