Job Summary
A company is looking for a Lead Computational Climate Scientist.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and implement computational catastrophic risk models focused on climate change and natural disasters
- Drive geospatial modeling efforts and coordinate with product and engineering on geospatial workflows
- Collaborate across teams to translate theoretical research into practical models for global supply chain risk
Required Qualifications
- PhD in atmospheric and oceanic science, physics, social or behavioral science, or related quantitative field; or 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams and managing multiple projects
- Strong interest in applying scientific modeling to complex systems, particularly climate change
- Familiarity with Python, Jira, Git, and related analytical tools
- Proven open-source research skills and experience supporting product development pipelines
