Job Summary
To enhance genetic variant classification, the full-time Lead Clinical Genomics Scientist will evaluate laboratory and patient data, support variant reclassification, and collaborate across departments to ensure accurate clinical test results, with the opportunity to work remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support the classification and reclassification of genetic variants by analyzing data and scientific literature
- Prepare and present data to classify variants and ensure high-quality clinical test results
- Participate in clinical genomics projects to implement and validate new processes for variant classification
Required qualifications
- PhD or master's degree in biological sciences or genetic counseling
- Six or more years of relevant experience in clinical genomics
- Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel
- Continuing education credits as required by CLIA
- Experience with variant classification procedures and pipeline improvements
